Boys Entering 5th Grade

Explorers

Boys’ Side, known as The Pride, is the home for our boys entering 5th grade. Campers are encouraged to take pride in their effort, show sportsmanship, be supportive, and take healthy risks. The Explorers have a more active program, are eligible to go on their first overnight Trail Blazer trip, have more coed activities, and participate in community service opportunities. The Explorers have a dynamic presence on Boys’ Side and demonstrate a ton of vitality and passion for camp.

Boys’ Side

The Pride of Camp Ramaquois

So here we sit at [the end of] what was probably my son’s best summer ever… I can’t thank YOU ALL enough, every single person had their finger on the pulse when it came to my son… Everyone bent over backwards for him and us and we can’t thank you for everything… Ramaquois is truly incredible

Boys’ Side provides endless opportunities for campers to try new things and challenge themselves in athletics, crafts, adventure activities, cultural experiences, and even in the Dining Hall. Ultimately, the boys learn to inspire others, make friends, and develop empathy. The Boys’ Side experience provides authentic connections and teaches campers that kindness and courage are extremely valuable qualities that help them become better people.

Healthy Competition

Teaching character through athletics

Ramaquois’ athletic programs promote healthy competition. Our field specialists provide instruction to develop the best skills and sportsmanship in all of our campers. The result is a warm environment where campers feel comfortable to try their best, while also encouraging and celebrating their peers.

Optional Adventure Trip Program

A New Adventure Awaits!

Campers entering 3rd grade and older are ready for some new adventures! Our optional trip program lets campers choose from several exciting day trips. Historically, Ramaquois has visited amusement parks, Broadway shows, baseball games and many other exciting venues! Campers entering 7th grade and older are offered overnight trips. All of our trips feature very low camper-to-staff ratios - safety is always our top priority. The best part of a Ramaquois trip is bonding with new and old friends during unique experiences!

Ramaquois Traditions

An Authentic Camp Experience, Since 1922

Ramaquois traditions help make our camp a special community. Time-honored traditions include Legends’ Ceremonies, Song & Cheer, Moving Up Ceremonies, RamaGames and many more. Our traditions celebrate milestones, bond campers together, and connect our generations. Like everything else at Ramaquois, our traditions are more meaningful because we do them together.

We're proud to be considered
