Lili Mirojnick was selected as the Third Alumni of the Week!
Lili Mirojnick coming to a Broadway Theater soon!
Lili was a camper for many years. She had a unique experience in that she actually lived in California for her time at Ramaquois, but came to New Jersey just for the summer! Ramaquois was basically sleepaway camp for her! She was a great camper, and an even better friend to everyone she came in contact with! She had a great energy and enthusiasm for camp! My memory of Lili was her painted in blue paint, head to toe for Ramagames, I guess she was on the blue team that year! I'd say more as to why she was selected but that would probably ruin your reading!

Who are you?
Lili Mirojnick
How old are you? Birthday?
I am 24. My birthday is April 9th!
Where did you live when you were at Ramaquois?
I spent most of the year in Los Angeles. I came to the East Coast on school vacations to visit my father. I stayed in Fort Lee during the summers.
Were you a camper?
Yes. From ’91-’99, I think. I started as a 7 year old (Middies) and continued through CAPS. I also spent half a summer as a Junior Counselor.
Lili at Teen Late Night in 1997!
Best experiences and what do you remember?
I was an August camper my first summer. I felt very welcomed into my group and made friends immediately. I became very close with Nicole Kurtis and she remained my closest friend for years to come. The trips (when we got older) were always my favorite. My core group of friends- Nicole, Josh Albom, and Adam “Dark” Rosen, always sat in the same seats on the bus and would mess around with each other constantly. I can't name one trip that wasn’t a blast. Nicole and I were always getting in trouble for leaving our group. When we went missing, it was always to the same place—Boy's side.
Were you a staff member? For half a summer. I guess I was 16? I believe I was a Teenas counselor.
Who was your favorite staff member(s)? As a camper:
1. Barbi Katz- (I believe she was my CAP technically) No one was more fun than Barbi!
2. Meredith Fellows- She never got REALLY mad when we escaped to boy’s side.
3. Jay Goldberg and Adam Greene- Let’s just say they were definitely lifesavers on some trips.
Did you ever win Ramagames?
Honestly, I can’t remember. I think I won the year I was a Captain, but I can’t be sure
Did you ever win Song and Cheer?
Most definitely, just not sure which years!
What was your favorite activity?
I always loved lunch and anything in the pool, soccer, or tennis. I always loved sports. And snack time!? When there were “Firecrackers” for snack, I was in heaven. And of course, the trips
What was your favorite lunch? And drink?
Lemonade. The ‘bug juice’ was too much for me. From what I can remember, I was a big fan of the buttered noodles, potato pancakes, and salad was always good. I’m sure there were a bunch more (I did always love lunchtime and eating) but nothing else is coming to me!
Did you go on any trips? What do you remember?
I went on almost EVERY trip. I always loved the Lake George trip. I went every year. There was a year we went to Toronto and that was great. Also, there was one trip to Wildwood that might be one of my greatest teenage memories. Yankee games were always a great standard! Nothing was better than the bus rides on the overnight trips!
Lili and Nicole!
Your favorite Arthur and Natalie memory?
Basically anytime I saw Natalie, she always grabbed me and picked at me like my grandmother used to!
10 words or less to describe your experience through the years at Camp? Had many amazing summers and made some lifelong friends!
What did you learn or experience at Camp Ramaquois that prepared you for the rest of your life? School teaches you Math and English, what did we teach you?
How to sneak away from a group! Just kidding. It really taught me the meaning of friendship. I lived 3000 miles away from all my friends from camp, and I was always able to keep in touch and keep them close. I think the fact that I’m still friends and in touch with most of them is a testament to that!
Where do you live now? Los Angeles.
High School: The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks California
College: The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC 2 year acting conservatory. Graduated with and AOS in April of 2004
Where do you work? Where have you worked?
In New York City, I worked as a bartender at 5 different bars that were all owned by the same company between the Fall of 2004 and Fall of 2007. When I moved back to Los Angeles in October of 2007, I didn’t start bartending again until this past September when I started to work for SBE at a lounge called SBar.
Family? Significant others of importance? Children?
None of the above….other than mom and dad!
She was in the movies! More soon too!
Through the last few years, I’ve been focusing a lot on my acting and things have been going pretty well. I focused on theatre throughout college and it has always been my primary focus. Theatre is the reason I stayed in New York City for so many years. A few years ago, I did a small part in a film called Domino. I had a small speaking part that got me my SAG card. After that I shot an independent film on Long Island that has since gone through a few small film festivals and has been received well. Right before moving back to LA, I booked a supporting role in the film Cloverfield.
Not long after that, I moved back to Las Angeles and shot another small role in a film to be released next summer called G-Force. I was also featured in the upcoming G.I. Joe. This past summer I landed the lead in another independent film that has since wrapped and is being shopped around to distributors. I also have done a handful of short films, some theatre and am prepping to start another independent film in January.
Basically, I’m trying to use film and television as a spring board to get back to New York City and the theatre as soon as I possibly can, whether it’s three years or ten.
Have you been back to Camp since you left? If so what did you think?
I think I came back the year after I left for a little while. I don’t think much had changed in that time. But its always nice to see everyone!!!
Do you still have Ramaquois clothing? Do you still wear it? How soft is it?
I still have one shirt. It’s a VERY old light/medium blue color one with the horizontal logo. Before the teal green and pink ones. Before the navy ones. It’s SUPER soft and I wear it to sleep or to the gym. I don’t think I’ll ever let it go.
Where do you see yourself in five years? Ten years? Twenty years? Realistically, I’ll probably still be in LA in 5 years, pursuing my acting career. In ten years, I hope to be back in NYC, doing theatre and calling my own shots in my career. Maybe getting ready to start a family. In twenty years? Hopefully doing whatever I want!!!!!
I give you a word, you give me the first word that comes to mind!
